Let’s get this started!

I’m officially calling an end to the activity check.

This means we start plotting. I’ve been taking some time away for personal reasons as well, but I think many of us are ready to get this started again, let’s go at it with fresh inspiration and new ideas!

I’ll be posting new characters and roles to be filled, a list of those assumed dead in the aftermath of the Games, and general info as we decide it. Please come to me with ideas! This is a collaboration, and each of you have contributed so much to make this world real and interesting, let’s keep it going!

For a general starting point, I’ll do a post stating what happened in the Games. Keep your eyes peeled, it’ll be up soon!

Activity Check!
If you still plan to be an active member of Tributes for the Avatar, reblog Appa to count as your activity check!
Reblog this by February 1, or speak with me, or I’ll assume you are bowing out and your character will be assumed dead or detained (that can change if you wish to come back later).

LET THE GAMES BEGIN!

The new year has begun, and with it, The Games. This means several things:

  • The Tributes must enter the arena
  • Rebels will arrive in Republic City
  • Officials have a lot on their hands

If you want to continue old threads, feel free, but start your new threads now. The story is moving forward, and some might not survive.

Over the next two weeks I’ll be doing activity checks since it’s been a while, and if I don’t hear from you, we’ll assume your character was either detained or killed.

Where our story begins. {Part 1}

"Air. Water. Earth. Fire.

When I was a child, my grandfather told me the story of Avatar Aang and Avatar Korra, when balance was restored not once, but twice. Republic City was built, and for several years, we overcame wars and thrived in peace and harmony.

But after Korra’s lifetime, balance began to shift as the Equalists and their cause grew stronger. When Dr. Corbel Finchel began to mass produce Tethalene, a suppressant used against benders, the tables were turned. The new Avatar, Lian Shu, was seized at the beginning of the uprising, and Ianthus Arathald became the first non-bending leader of the Four Nations.”

Tributes, Mentors, and Citizens!

Mod here wishing everyone a happy holiday time, enjoy the time with your family and friends and be merry!!

Things have been slow around Republic City lately and that’s perfectly fine, understandable considering NaNoWriMo and the holidays, but we’re still alive and kicking!

By the end of January, we’d like to get started on:

  • The Games
  • The Rebellion

This means we’re still looking for more characters, but we’ll also be deciding who doesn’t survive the Games. No one will be forced to leave a character behind, but keep in mind there are many options for what happens to your character after the Games! Perhaps they’re held prisoner in the Capitol, taken by the rebel forces, maybe they join the rebellion! Either way, have fun with it.

I’ll be opening up a new chatzy after New Year’s so we can get planning again and kickstart these next chapters in our story together.

We are still happy to accept new characters! This includes those who already have characters that might want to kill of their current character and take on a new one, or add to their current arsenal of muses.

As always, feel free to come to me with questions or ideas, this is a collaborative, open place where we can all play! Happy Holidays, and may the elements be ever in your favor.

Sometimes, the mun gets bored. And she does things. Like making a really huge timeline of the group’s threads on a spreadsheet with color-codes and everything.
Ahem.
So, I did this with a number of different ways to make it all a ‘timeline’. I took everyone’s threads and ordered them by when they were made, then I put them on the chart and categorized everything so that no one person would be in the same place at the same time (the exception are three-way threads, such as Festival Lights, even though I played Aglaea through Daxus’ account… yeah.). Then I went about making ‘days’, or something like that— the darker lines are supposed to separate said “days”.
I’ve counted 29 days on there, as it were, with ‘Bent, not Broken’ being on the twenty-ninth day. That’s not to say that twenty-nine days actually passed; quite honestly, it could be more or less than that, but it’d be fitting if it’s actually been about a month. There’s so much that happened, a month just sounds right.
But that’s just my interpretation, yes? So, here’s the link to the spreadsheet. It probably looks complicated, but basically, the color beneath a certain person’s row is the person that person was interacting with. So the first tile under Kian’s name is a light blue one, and light blue is Simon’s color, meaning the two of them were interacting. I also labeled titles, so if you don’t get the whole color coded thing, the titles are there to be a guide for what is what.
I hope it’s understandable. I may be updating it later on, as more threads come about.
tl;dr: Mun gets bored. She makes a timeline of everyone’s threads. Color coding and titles. Weird stuff. Just have the link loller.

I know that there are several of us involved in NaNoWriMo this year, so for all those that are: Keep it up! You can do it!

I know personally it’s affected how much I’m able to post so I want to thank you all personally for being patient with me.

Keep up with posts when you can, but don’t stress! We all get busy, and everyone here is very understanding. I love you all very much for it! Happy NaNoWriMo!
